Sekhmet Info
by
Diane Neisius
Sekhmet is the name of an Egytean lion goddess. Her attribute is to be a warrior; some see her as the 'wild'
form of the Goddess Bastet.
Goddess Sekhmet was believed to bring diseases with the hot desert wind. But same way she also can remove disease.
It is reported priests and priestesses of Sekhmet prepared healing potion by rinse of water on statues of the
Goddess. The water was collected at the feet of the statue.
Prominent feature of the Goddess is her savagery and her power when fighting. Those who are accompanied by
Sekhmet doesn't need to fear anything else.
Spiritual quality of Sekhmet is fiery. She doesn't like trick or betrayal. Working with Sekhmet is not for
everyone. If she is furious nobody can stop her revenge.
