I have not a problem if somebody else chooses another way as I did. At least not as long as s/he leaves me alone. Who has the plan to swim against the natural flow of spiritual energy - please do. As long as you don't harm anybody else. Live and let live is my motto. I find it more convenient to swim with the natural flow of energy but I don't like to be mocked for it.

Things started to happen when my relative active in media reported about unexplicable magic attacks. I beg for charity I protect whom I love. Thus I started a meditation to ask my personal Goddess for advice.
"Isis", I said, "is it really true we aren't allowed to defend ourselves against this crud?"
Of course you are allowed to do so, she replied quite fast. Like all beings you have the right to defend yourself.
"Can I strike back?", I asked.
If it is done to prevent further attacks you are even allowed to strike back hard, the Goddess replied. Just care for you don't attack somebody else without any reason.
The latter for me was a matter of course.

I started to build up sort of magical shields around our home. But only this didn't hold certain groups off to attack again and again. Even if the shield itself was not pierced the attacks continued.
"Okay", I thought. "Then I will do a hard backstrike."

From a scientific point of view (I am scientist in the physical world) nuclear weapons are strongest of all non-magic devices mankind ever has developed. Taking it as inspiration for a magical counterstrike would need to create a vast glary blazing light in the astral space.
Asking Isis about she confirmed it exists. It is an extremly high frequency energy developing a tremendous white-hot intensity. Its name was "Light of Truth" or the "Light of Ma'at", and the latter is the reason a depiction of the Goddess Ma'at spreads her protecting wings atop this website.

I still worried about collateral damage. The latter word I don't like at all for it just means innocent victims not related to anything were just at the wrong time in a wrong place.
Isis appeased me about. A newborn with innocent heart won't notice it at all, she said, at most it will feel something like a warm summer breeze.
"What about all the other", I asked.
Of course there are humans hiding something they don't want to know about themselves, she explained. When the Light of Truth encounters them they will see it for a short moment. It would be quite uncomfortable for them. They then can decide if they want to face the problem or hide it again.
"And the attackers?", I wanted to know. "Is it the same for them?"
No, the Goddess replied. Who has such an abyss in mind s/he needs to attack other people doing magic work just to feed his/her ego will burn in the firestorm of the White Light. White Light doesn't kill but nobody would forget it for a long time.

In the follow-up there were a number of attacks which stopped immediately after a single counterstrike. This was the method I was looking for.

Last year I felt the vocation to teach the knowledge I gained to others. Thus I continued the education which in the end led to foundation of a Lyceum of the Fellowship of Isis.
Maybe out there are people also looking for a method to protect themselves against attacks. In the end if there are no more attacks because every attacker knows what would happen, it is the best shield of all.

During the education at the Lyceum of the Protecting Shield the "Light of Ma'at" is taught relatively late. Unprepared students shouldn't burn themselves by accident. One has to be in peace with oneself to be able to work with the Light of Ma'at. The latter is prepared in the sequence of courses. Best it would be to have "the heart of a child" in the end.
