White and black Magic doesn't exist by opinion of us here in the Lyceum.
Magic is a tool which is neither good nor bad. Of course, there always exist humans with good or bad intentions. Thus there are some mages who act ruthless and are interested only in their own benefit. Those maybe could be denoted as black mages. In contrast we who care about some fundamental rules of peaceful coexistence here on Earth then would be white mages.
In the Fellowship of Isis a rule is to respect the Free Will of all beings.
Already at time of the Medusa Iseum some of my students were surprised a supposedly harmless "love spell" was not ok (think about why!).
It is also a very basic rule for us, everybody who takes part in a meeting or rites at all times must feel safe. Nobody should do something which she or he doesn't want to attend. Rites are not mandatory but can be adapted to personal needs. Rites are not of "god-given" but have been written down by inspired humans.
Free Will will also be respected for beings without physical bodies. It is not ok to ban a faerie, an elementary being or a ghost to force it to do some service.
